Since 1976, we have been working with the same main objective (revised 2002): "A united professional wrestling society in Europe, working together to improve enjoyment of the game." Our coordination office is located in Geneva, Switzerland.

CESCA board announces evaluation process of Swedish pro wrestling

CESCA President Mr. Marcel Duval announced today at the annual European CESCA Lunch in Geneva, the launch of the evaluation process of Sweden as potential member country. The wrestling arena of Malmo in the southern region of Sweden is pointed out as a candidate for becoming a national arena. Not since Bulgary and Latvia were rejected as members in 2008, has there been any new candidates. "The process in underway" Mr. Duval said in his speech. "There is no reason for the Swedes to celebrate yet. We will examine them and see if they meet current CESCA quality standards."

Malmo is pointed out as a potential national arena for Swedish professional wrestling.

CESCA publishes new report on disqualification practices in national championships

CESCA presents today the findings of a cross-European inquiry by a panel of some of the most prominent chairmen of European pro-wrestling organisations, into the impact of the Unregulated Disqualifaction Policy of 2001 (UDP2001). The report of the panel concludes that in many championships the UDP2001 undermined cherished values and resulted in serious violations of game ethics. It warns of the increasing secrecy preventing accountability, and the danger of “temporary” measures becoming permanent features of rule interpretation in many championships.

The unique award ceremony that celebrates quality, integrity and sportsmanship within wrestling (CESCA awards) announced the 2011 date at their exclusive New Year's reception at Swissôtel Métropole Geneva on 4th January 2011. The 3rd annual CESCA awards date was revealed as 22nd October 2011 in the private and intimate gathering hosted by CESCA Awards founder Marcel Duval. In a very moving speech he said, "We are so grateful for the immense support that we have received from the profesional wrestling community. Together we are building a firm, cross-national foundation for the benefit of professional wrestling in Europe."
Marcel Duval congratulated all winners and nominees of last year's CESCA Awards for their wonderful contribution to professional wrestling.
CESCA New Year's reception was attended by an exclusive party of notable personalities in the industry and celebrities, including former CESCA chairman Vladimir Bocharkov, Italian president Silvio Berlusconi and senior romanian wrestler Karaffa among others.

In order to consolidate links between European professional wrestling organisations and their local communities and to strengthen the process of consolidating European wrestling, the members of CESCA are invited to hold a variety of events and activities in the context of 2010 CESCA Awards.
